Coalition Workgroups
The Coalition established workgroups to address the focus areas identified in the grant requirements.
Workgroups are open to unlimited participation from organizations that have a role in emergency response efforts.

The Operations Committee facilitates partnerships within District 1 communities and utilize infrastructure inside and outside hospitals to accommodate the surge of patients after a mass casualty incident. In addition the workgroup will creates and maintains procedures to staff and operate such sites in accordance with the regional bio terrorism response plan.

The Hospital Workgroup provides a forum where District 1 hospital representatives can identify, resources, share ideas, and prioritize needs to increase the level of preparedness in District 1 communities.

The pre hospital workgroup provides a forum where District 1 EMS agency representatives and medical control authorities can identify resources, share ideas, and prioritize needs to increase level of preparedness in District 1 communities

The Disaster Behavioral Health Work Group ensures adequate disaster mental health and human service resources and response plans in District 1.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee was created in order to support the day-to-day operations and decision making. The Executive Committee consists of six members: A Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, two hospital representatives, an MCA representative, and the Medical Director.

The LTC workgroup provides a forum where representatives from both Long Term Care and Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facilities may share planning and preparedness needs and ideas. The workgroup will target integration among local and regional partners in healthcare, public health, and emergency management.

Volunteer Support Work Groups
The Region 1 Volunteer Support Workgroup created the Region 1 Public Health and Medical Volunteer Mobilization Protocol and the Spontaneous Volunteer Management Plan Template. Workgroup members are also integrated with the Region 1 Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD).

Regional Trauma Advisory Committee
The Regional Trauma Advisory Committee is a committee established by the Regional Trauma Network (RTN) and is comprised of MCA personnel, EMS personnel, life support agency representatives, healthcare facilities representatives, physicians, nurses, and consumers. The functions of the RTAC are to provide leadership and direction on matters related to trauma system development in their region, including, but not limited to, the review of trauma deaths and preventable complications.
